I received Laurea in Physics (1993) and Ph.D (1998) in Geophysics from the University of Trieste, Italy.
After having been a researcher of the GNDT (Italian National Group for the Defense from Earthquakes), I am now a researcher in Seismology at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Trieste.
My research involves the study of the excitation and of the propagation of seismic and Tsunami waves in laterally heterogenous media. The recent focus of my work has been the theoretical estimation of the groundshaking site effects and the generation of synthetic groundshaking scenarios.
I am a Solid Earth Sciences Editor for Pure and Applied Geophysics (PAGEOPH) and convener of an EGS session on Site effects.
